Hypnotherapy for Fears, Phobias & Traumas

"I experienced extreme trauma. I lost my husband very suddenly with 2 babies and a teenager to raise alone. I was devastated and completely lost in my grief. I felt like a ticking time bomb. I attempted traditional therapy; it was not for me. This is when I found Jason. Our first session literally opened my eyes, and I haven't gone back since. It felt like I had awakened from a hibernation. With each session, my mind unlocked more and more; allowing me to prioritize myself again, make better decisions, reach more goals, and better understand the motivation behind my actions. Jason has changed my life, and I am forever thankful. You may be in place of turmoil. If so, there is a way out."  - Khalia T., Georgia

"If you need to make a hard change quickly, contact Jason now. My regular therapist showed me my job was a key trigger that I needed extra help to change. And in many ways, I liked my job -- it was a good fit. But Jason's expertise in hypnotherapy unknotted the roots making me cling to my comfortable yet miserable status quo. For me, Jason directed a safe path through unspoken trauma and deep-seated avoidance, and he can for you, too. But from there, be prepared for Jason's "do you want this or not" approach. That is what got me what I was looking for: a new job -- paying 53% more -- in a warmer part of the country." - Codi C., North Carolina

Leave the Past Behind

With hypnosis, you can enjoy a profound reduction in the intensity of emotions and incapacitation you may be experiencing. This is not a process of blocking or wiping memories, rather one of understanding, neutralizing, reframing and positive forward movement.

Relief has Multiple Approaches

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation where an individual is voluntarily choosing to be suggestible and open to new ideas. In the context of trauma, hypnosis can be used to help individuals process and overcome traumatic experiences regardless if they are decades old or presently occurring events.

One approach used is "regression." During regression, the individual is guided back in time to the traumatic event and encouraged to observe the memory from a safe, detached perspective. This helps process the memory and release associated negative emotions. The detached manner avoids reliving the trauma which, of course, would be highly undesirable. Contrary to what many expect and how traditional talk therapy approaches trauma, one does not need to "reexperience" the trauma from a first person perspective to resolve it.

Another approach is called “cognitive reframing” where the hypnotherapist helps the individual to change their perspective on the traumatic event. Using metaphors and NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) techniques the traumatic experience can be neutralized and, as appropriate, become a learning experience to help the individual make future decisions.

A third highly effective method is "Gestalt therapy" or "Gestalt dialogue" where the individual has an opportunity to speak his/her mind to the other person who represents the negative emotions still carried today. While this role-playing approach might appear awkward on its surface, it absolutely should not be underestimated when performed by a trained hypnotherapist. While this may bare resemblance to talk therapy dialoguing approaches, the hypnotic state plus targeted framing language makes Gestalt incredibly powerful.

Hypnotherapy for trauma is a process. Multiple sessions are often necessary to unpack and care for the multiple dimensions of trauma - the layers of emotions, people involved, and especially traumas that were endured over months or years. But once these aspects are fully addressed and relief is experienced, the best part begins... looking forward and mentally rehearsing one's positive future.
